We specialize in preparing great food for a lot of people within a short time frame, all at your facility. We’re the experts. This is our specialty – it’s what we do.

Meet the Team


Paul Coleman

Paul started our company with the brand of Bread Garden Catering. After years of Bread Garden’s constant growth, he led us into other exciting brands such as Blue Ketchup BBQ.

Paul’s passion for both people and for his long career in Vancouver’s hospitality business is evident in everything he does. He enjoys going out on deliveries and meeting our clients face-to-face – and also spending the summers outdoors managing our BBQ business.

Paul has three grown children whom he and wife Kathryn love to spend time with. Kathryn shares his passion for people. They invest much of their energy in encouraging others.

Jean Stannard

Jean is our executive chef and general manager. Her passion for fresh, local foods and international flavours has helped to shape the offerings of all three brands.

Jean loves working with our clients to bring their vision to life by creating custom menus and events.

Her favourite types of events to create are cocktail parties, weddings and events for groups of 1,000 people or more. Jean also loves to travel and experience the world as much as possible.

Ron Helmer

After many years of running his community-focused café in Surrey, Ron decided to seek a change. We’re delighted he found that change in collaborating with us!

Now he brings Pacific Coast Catering to the Surrey region. Ron enjoys working with our clients to create and execute all of their catering needs.

If you are south of the Fraser River, you are almost certain to have met Ron and experienced his outstanding service. With his wife Ruth and three kids, Ron loves exploring the local mountains in the family’s intrepid 4x4.

Sales/Event Planners

Melissa Fox

With us right since the beginning, Mel is a key member of our management team. As the head of our Customer Service Hub, she is delighted to help with all your catering needs. Mel is an expert at planning the meals for conferences and large groups. She is also the go-to person with any questions about accounts payable. As mom to Levi & Taylor Mel is always on the go, her kids and husband Mike are her true joy.

Wendy Atkinson

As our main salesperson and customer care expert, Wendy loves to head out and meet clients. She is happy to communicate with you all that Pacific Coast Catering has to offer and the services we provide. So, if you are looking for more information about us, Wendy is definitely your go-to person. She’s also a lover of the arts and a true foodie. Don’t be surprised if you see Wendy out at a new restaurant, live performance venue or local art gallery .

Dina Resurreccion-Javier

If you have ever called our office, you’ve probably talked with Dina. As our inside sales representative, she is always ready to help! Dina is the leading expert for online ordering and will often go out on lunch deliveries so she can meet in person the people she speaks with by phone. In her off-time Dina and her husband enjoy getting away and experiencing what the world has to offer.

Joanne Rogers

Joanne is our key accounts manager and one of our event planners. She joined the Pacific Coast Catering Group team after operating her own events company in Toronto. Joanne’s experience and expertise shine through with all of her customers – she will go out of her way to ensure you have the best experience possible! Outside work you will find Joanne out enjoying nature with her dog Jack.

Chefs/Distribution Team

Breck Lemke

As our kitchen manager and head chef, Breck keeps our kitchen going. His talented cooking skills are most often showcased at weddings and executive luncheons and events. Be sure to look for Breck’s behind the grill at our Blue Ketchup BBQ events! The Vancouver Community College-trained Breck specializes in Italian food. His other passions include motorcycles and spending time with his family.

Ian Sheh

Ian, our corporate catering chef and events bartender, has a true passion for food! He brings that passion into our kitchen on a daily basis to create some amazing dishes. Ian is also fun to have as a colleague, with his infectious laughter rolling through the kitchen. Outside work, Ian is involved in various social justice endeavours. He loves to throw dinner parties and run with his dog Suzy. And, Ian is a professional photographer.

Taryn Ferreira

If you’ve ever enjoyed our canapés or sweets, there’s a good chance Taryn had a hand in making them. She is both our pastry chef and our lead when it comes to cocktail parties. Taryn, who has brought a wealth of knowledge to our kitchen, recently completed her Red Seal distinction through Vancouver Community College. She is also an expert at the weekend getaway and, not surprisingly, loves to travel.

Russell Greenhow

As the head cook and driver of our Surrey operations, Russell is always busy! Whether you are looking for sandwiches or a cocktail party, he is ready and enthusiastic to help.

Also an expert delivery driver in the Surrey region, Russell can tell you all the secret routes to get where you need to be in the timeliest manner possible. Outside of work, Russell prizes his time with his wife and four children.

Sharlene Zavallos

Sharlene is the driving force behind getting that delicious Bread Garden Catering lunch to you. As our lead sandwich-maker, she takes time every morning to review all sandwich trays before they leave the building. Sharlene also makes a mean blueberry muffin! She loves spending time with her family and friends and enjoying all that Vancouver has to offer.

Mariana Melo

As our resident salad expert, Mariana is always busy. Mari’s many talents shine through in the kitchen – she is ready to help in any way she can! Mari came to Canada from Brazil to finish her studies. When not studying or working, Mari loves exploring Vancouver by riding her powder-blue Cruiser along our city’s many bike paths.

Aide Fernandez

A member of our Production Team, Aide can invariably be found hard at work chopping vegetables and making sauces. She recently moved to Vancouver from Madrid – we are happy to welcome her to the Pacific Coast Catering Group family!

Rosa Roderjan

Rosa is both a cook and a delivery driver for Bread Garden Catering. If she has brought you lunch, you are sure to remember her warm personality and readiness to help. She’s the one with the infectious smile! A foodie, Rosa is very passionate about the flavours of her home country of Brazil. She loves to take our local ingredients, add in the flavours of home and create elaborate dinners with her husband.

Matt Almeida

As our lead driver and delivery expert, Matt knows all the secret parking spots and routes in Vancouver. If you are one of our regular breakfast or lunch clients, there is a good chance you have met Matt – you’ll remember his friendly, outgoing demeanour! A nature lover, Matt is an avid hiker and skier.

Willow Nyffenegger

A member of both our Events Team and Corporate Division, Willow exemplifies calmness and joy in any situation. Willow is currently working part-time with us while she goes to school, studying to become a holistic nutritionist.
